Paraná launched the solidarity campaign SOS RS, which will collect donations of food and cleaning products to serve the regions affected by the rains in Rio Grande do Sul. The action is promoted by the Office of the First Lady of Paraná Luciana Saito Massa and the Superintendence General Solidarity Action, with support from the State Coordination of Civil Defense and the Military Fire Brigade of Paraná (CBMPR).

SOS RS II Campaign

Until May 8th (Wednesday), the Fire Department barracks will receive four types of products to be distributed in Rio Grande do Sul: non-perishable food, water, hygiene products and cleaning products. Since the early hours of this Thursday (2), military firefighters have been working to rescue stranded people.

Paraná Championship

TV Paraná Turismo will broadcast the main games of the access division of the Paraná Football Championship. The first round will be this Saturday, with a dispute between Paraná Clube and Nacional, who will face each other at 4pm. Games that will be broadcast live will take place at 4pm on Saturdays and 11am on Sundays.

Election calendar

The PSD pre-candidate for mayor of Curitiba, Eduardo Pimentel, said goodbye yesterday (2) to the Secretariat of Cities of Paraná, anticipating the deadline imposed by the electoral calendar, four months before the elections for secretaries of state to leave their positions. Pimentel, who is vice-mayor of Curitiba, was in charge of the Cities Secretariat for just over a year.

In London

A survey by Paraná Pesquisas released this Thursday (2) indicates that federal deputy Filipe Barros (PL) is leading the electoral dispute for Londrina City Hall. He has 17.5% of voting intentions, followed by former mayor Barbosa Neto (PDT), with 16.8%. The difference between the two is less than one percentage point.

Record

The poll is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number PR02066/2024. The survey interviewed 800 voters from April 26th to May 1st. The survey has a 95% confidence level and an estimated margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

Opening of companies

Paraná sets a new record in April, taking 8 hours and four minutes, on average, to open businesses. It’s the shortest time in history. Paraná jumped 24 positions since January 2019, when it ranked 26th nationally. For 13 consecutive months, the State has been among the 10 most agile in the country.

Alep Competition

The final answer sheets for the objective tests of the public competition promoted by the Legislative Assembly of Paraná will be published on May 8th. On the same date, the appeals filed by competitors against the preliminary answer will be published. Publications will be made through the website of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), the institution responsible for organizing the test.

Election

Starting this year, the internal election for the positions of president, vice-president and general inspector of the Court of Auditors of the State of Paraná (TCE-PR) will be held in the last ordinary session of the Full Court in the month of October of the last of the two-year term. Until now, this vote took place in the last session of December of the year in which the mandate ended.

Religious tourism

The 2025 edition of the Religious Tourism Forum will be in Foz do Iguaçu, with the Omar Ibn Al-Khatab Mosque as the space for activities. It will be the seventh edition of the event and the first to be hosted by an Islamic religious space. The idea is the interaction of all religions and beliefs that are interested in debates about this tourist segment.

Job vacancies

In the first three months of the year, workers aged between 18 and 29 held 36,059 job vacancies in Paraná, according to data from Caged (General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons). With this balance, Paraná led hiring in this age group in the southern region of Brazil in the first quarter, ahead of Santa Catarina (31,230) and Rio Grande do Sul (26,118).

Unified National Competition

Around 2.1 million candidates are expected to participate this Sunday (5) in the Unified National Competition. The tests will be carried out in 228 municipalities. In total, 3,665 application sites and 75,730 rooms were defined. To find out where they will take the test, the candidate must access the CPNU registration confirmation card, on the same website where they registered.
