Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered this Friday (3) the release of Army lieutenant colonel Mauro Cid, Jair Bolsonaro’s former aide-de-camp.ebc.gif?id=1593376&o=node

Cid has been detained at the Army Police Battalion, in Brasília, since March this year, when he was arrested while giving a statement to the Supreme Court. At the time, the magazine Look published audios in which the military criticized the actions of Moraes and the Federal Police.

The former aide-de-camp signed a plea bargain agreement after being arrested as part of the investigation investigating fraud in vaccination certificates against Covid-19.

In addition to the case regarding vaccines, Cid also cooperated with the investigation into an attempted coup d’état that would have been prepared at the top of the Bolsonaro government.

In the same decision, Moraes decided to maintain the validity of the plea agreement signed by Mauro Cid. The terms had already been confirmed by the military during the hearing in which he was arrested.

“Considering the information provided at the hearing in this Supreme Court, as well as the evidence obtained from the search and seizure, there is no evidence of any obstacle to maintaining the plea bargain agreement in these files”, decided the minister.
