Dengue cases appear to be reducing week after week in Espírito Santo. The statement is observed in the data published in the Epidemiological Bulletin of the State Department of Health (Sesa), which shows the decline in the disease’s infection, which has 77,994 confirmed cases, 22 deaths and 38 under investigation.

“We still need to pay attention. We climbed the mountain, now we are going down, but we still have many cases that can happen and deaths that can be avoided”, warned the Secretary of Health and Environment Surveillance at the Ministry of Health, Ethel Maciel.
In relation to the number of deaths, the city of Linhares had the most deaths, with five confirmations, followed by Anchieta (2), Aracruz (2) and Vitória (2). Check out the list below of all the cities that recorded fatalities:

Nationally, Brazil has already recorded 4,200 probable cases of dengue and 2,149 deaths from dengue since the beginning of the year. Furthermore, there are 2,271 deaths under investigation, according to data from the Ministry of Health as of last Thursday, May 2nd.
Vaccination
Immunization remains low in the State, with only 25.55% of the target audience vaccinated. In other words, of the 145,718 people, only 37,229 were immunized in the 52 cities in Espírito Santo that received doses of the vaccine.
The target audience is children and adolescents between 10 and 14 years old, a group considered to be at highest risk of hospitalization due to the disease.
