SES-AM makes a new technical visit to Parintins to discuss health actions during the festival

The State Department of Health (SES-AM) carried out a new technical visit to the municipality of Parintins to discuss the actions that will be carried out in the municipality during the Folk Festival of the Bois Garantido and Caprichoso, on the last weekend of June. The head of SES, Nayara Maksoud, this time, visited the bumbódromo, two city hospitals and the municipal health department, this Thursday (02/05).

In addition to the units, the secretary also monitored the work carried out by the Instituto Autismo de Parintins Isadora Tupinambá, which serves 700 people in the city, offering care through telemedicine in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Government of Amazonas. Consultations with a neuropediatrician are available.

The Secretary of State for Health, Nayara Maksoud, considered the work carried out at the institute, which serves children and adults, to be very well structured and can be considered a reference for the interior of Amazonas, especially in access to consultations with specialists.

“It is joint work within the scope of the Unified Health System, the Ministry of Health and the Government of Amazonas. I congratulate all the servers for the work they did,” she said.

The secretary also carried out a technical visit to Hospital Padre Colombo, which is a reference in the municipality in several specialties, where she spoke with health professionals and patients.

“Padre Colombo is a hospital that receives full support from the Government of Amazonas, providing access to specialized care. Governor Wilson Lima is not failing to measure efforts so that we can even expand access to surgery, exams and specialized consultations for the population of the lower Amazon within the unit”, he explained.

At Jofre Cohen Hospital, which has a neonatal Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with state investment, Nayara Maksoud spoke to doctors and nurses at the unit about the ICU and also heard about urgent and emergency care.

“We have doctors hired by the state of Amazonas who work in the neonatology service at Jofre Cohen, as well as in the Adult ICU, but neonatology needs to be looked at with great care and our dialogue with our professionals who work within this service, responsible for assistance, it is essential for us to advance in the quality of care”, commented the health secretary.
