Pernambuco Entrepreneurship Agency (AGE) is highlighted in rankings by the State Comptroller General

In 2023, the institution reached the highest level in the assessments of control points in the Adequacy Indexes of State-Owned Companies (IAE) and the Internal Control System (IAS)

For the fourth consecutive year, the Pernambuco Entrepreneurship Agency (AGE) is one of the highlights in the rankings of the Adequacy of State-Owned Companies (IAE) and Adequacy of Internal Control Units (IAS) indices, carried out annually by the Secretariat of the General Comptroller of State (SCGE). In the 2023 financial year, the development agency achieved level 5, considered the highest classification.

To achieve this position, AGE proved to be in compliance with the control points defined based on state and federal legislation, such as State Decree No. 47,087/2019 and SCGE Ordinance No. 11/2019, in addition to following the technical guidelines passed on by SCGE.

Items such as the disclosure of the Business Plan and Long-Term Strategies and the Annual Corporate Governance Letter, financial statements, composition of the Fiscal Council, submission of required reports, among other documentation, are analyzed.

For Angella Mochel, CEO of AGE, the results achieved demonstrate that the agency is building a path towards having excellent internal control and compliance. “We have goals to meet with the Central Bank, and we are working every day to achieve them. Receiving certifications like those from SCGE are proof that we are achieving our objective”, she pointed out.

What is the IAE? The assessment was created to measure the degree of adequacy to the requirements established in Federal Law No. 13,303/2016, State Decree No. 43,984/2016 and the best corporate governance practices, by State Public Administration Bodies and Entities.

What is the IAS? This index refers to the Internal Control Units (UCIs), evaluating control points, based on State Decree No. 47,087/2019 and SCGE Ordinance No. 11/2019, in addition to the technical guidelines passed on by the General Comptroller.
