Manaus/AM – This Saturday (04), at 8pm, Teatro Amazonas opens the curtains for the launch of the EP Amazonizar, by the band DeBubuia, which brings a collection of original songs that are already successful in the region. Entry is free with free classification.
The band Só DeBubuia, founded in 2021, adopted this name because it has a very special meaning “to be at peace, at ease, calm”, a widely used term typical of our region. It’s been a 3-year journey, working on music in its essence, always valuing the Amazon region in their songs, portraying the natural beauty and the struggle of its people, especially the women who are present in the song “Som da Empoderada”. The band develops work focused on Beiradão and Carimbó.
In shows, in addition to his original repertoire, he presents songs that made history in the voices of great artists from our region (Pinduca, Mauro Nogueira, Mestre Solano, Teixeira de Manaus, Oseias da Guitarra, among others), however, the songs that make up the show are songs that identify with the group’s aesthetic.
In 2023, the band began recording the songs that make up the 5 (five) tracks of the EP (Extend-Play), entitled “Amazonizar”, which are already on digital platforms and will be released at Teatro Amazonas. The EP is completely original.
In the show, the band will have the participation of singer Carlos Batata, the dance group “Bailado Carimbó” and the social project “Carimbó Flor de Balbina”, which is coordinated by women and serves teenagers and young people living in Vila de Balbina, municipality of Presidente Figueiredo.
Currently the group is made up of musicians: Antônio Fonseca (Voice and guitar), Luiz Adriano (double bass) and Jessé Sicsú (Drums). The band is accompanied by musician Marcos Paulo (sax player).
Portal do Holanda was founded on November 14, 2005. First with a column, named after its founder, journalist Raimundo de Holanda. Then it moved to Blog do Holanda and finally Portal do Holanda. It was one of the first websites in the State of Amazonas. It is audited by IVC and ComScore.
