According to information from Agro Estadão, an accident occurred during Agrishowan agribusiness fair held in Ribeirão Preto, São Pauloinvolving a private helicopter. Two people were injured and were taken by ambulance to a private hospital in the city.
One of the injured, a young man, is in a very serious condition due to head trauma. The third victim, also young, was taken to the fair’s emergency room in a state of shock.
According to information, the accident occurred around 9 am. The two injured people worked in a beverage distribution tent. Witnesses reported that the helicopter was flying low, preparing to land, when the wind generated by the propellers lifted the roof of the tent, which ended up collapsing on the workers.
The helicopter involved belonged to the Santander Bank and landed safely, allowing passengers to disembark. The aircraft took off again after the incident. The Military Police referred the case to the Judicial Police Center (CPJ)where it will be investigated.
The fair organization is investigating what happened and providing assistance to those involved. To date, Santander has not officially commented.
