More than 12 thousand dengue patients are cared for in the new reception units

The new tents installed by the Government of the Federal District (GDF) to combat dengue served 1,400 people this Saturday (27), when the structure set up in Varjão began operating. Thus, since the implementation of the first unit, on April 11, more than 12,900 assistance services have been provided.

In total, there are already ten spaces in operation, where the population has access to exams and consultations, three of which are open 24 hours a day and the others are open from 7am to 7pm. In each of them, there are more than 60 health professionals to serve an average of 150 people per day.

This Sunday (28), the last of the 11 tents planned by the GDF will be installed. It will be located in the parking lot of the Basic Health Unit (UBS) 2 in Areal. The others, already opened, are spread across Guará, Gama, Paranoá, Planaltina, Plano Piloto, Ceilândia, Samambaia, Taguatinga, Vicente Pires and Varjão.

The spaces operate daily, with a structure similar to field hospitals, and are strategically positioned close to regular hospitals, emergency care units (UPAs) and basic health units (UBSs) in order to guarantee faster care for patients symptomatic of the disease. and, consequently, reduce pressure on the Unified Health System (SUS).
