To guarantee the continuity and increase of activities implemented in health, in addition to providing a better quality of life for the people of Tocantins, federal deputy Vicentinho Júnior (Progressistas/TO) guaranteed the allocation of almost R$14 million to serve 49 municipalities in Tocantins. The amount was committed this week by the Ministry of Health.

The resources allocated cover both the Primary Care Program (PAP) and the Medium and High Complexity Program (MAC). PAP funding aims to strengthen basic health care, including the purchase of essential materials and the maintenance of municipal health units. MAC aims to improve medium and high complexity services, such as specialized consultations and surgical procedures.

According to the parliamentarian, the resource is focused on helping municipalities in Tocantins with their expenses. “We allocate a little for each municipality so that managers can use the resources according to the specific demands of each city. From basic expenses such as water and electricity bills, purchasing cleaning materials and fuel to specialized treatment and surgeries”, he detailed.
