The Federal Police (PF) and the General Comptroller of the Union (CGU) carried out, on the morning of this Thursday (9), the operation against fraud in tenders, embezzlement, appropriation and criminal association. The blockade of assets was enforced against all those indicted in the amount of R$23 million.
The action involved the participation of more than 80 federal police officers and several CGU employees in carrying out 20 search and seizure warrants, of which five were executed in Três Lagoas, seven in Campo Grande, six in Coxim, one in Naviraí and one in Florianópolis (SC).
The aforementioned measures were granted by the 1st Federal Court of Três Lagoas, after joint judicial representation formulated by the Federal Police, Federal Public Ministry and Public Ministry of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul.
During the investigations, strong evidence of illicit and uneconomic management by an administrative contractor was found, in addition to overbilling and non-execution of part of the works and services in educational units in the municipality of Três Lagoas.
The Federal Police also identified the existence of shell companies and shell companies, used to carry out financial transactions between those involved.
