Doctor, former BBB Amanda Meirelles opens up and reports difficult situation in RS: ‘Critical patients’

The doctor Amanda Meirelleschampion of BBB 24, joined the solidarity movement to help the victims of Rio Grande do Sul. Working as a volunteer in the city of Canoas, the famous woman opened her heart and reported on the situation there.

“Good afternoon, everyone. Just to clarify here, I understand that some people want to know what the experience is like, the experience here, some media outlets also got in touch so I could give interviews. However, since I arrived, I I haven’t left the ICU yet”she began.

Amanda stated that she is in the ICU caring for patients in more critical situations. “I’m in the Intensive Care Unit and here we have patients who are more vulnerable, you know, critical patients who are sedated, who are intubated, who don’t make sense to expose this, you know. They are often protected only with a small apron. So, we are preserving the image of patients here”, she completed.

“Work and help”

The ex-BBB highlighted that her intention is not to film for social media, but rather to help. “So, I show up to say what we need: encourage donations, right? If the day I’m not there [na UTI], I can show you the city. However, that is not my intention, it should be to come here to work and help with my work, and show you what we really need“, he concluded.
