This Friday morning (26), Ceasa Minas in Contagem, in greater BH, carries out an inspection and awareness blitz against irregular waste disposal.
Three vehicles that were caught with residue inside were notified and prevented from entering the warehouse. According to Ceasa Minas’ chief of staff, Bruno Santos, 500 vehicles were approached and drivers received guidance.
Last Tuesday (23), a driver and two loaders were arrested for illegally disposing of waste in a conservation area close to the site. Responsibility for the service lies with each trader, and, after problems with the company responsible for internal collection, a new corporation was hired. Furthermore, an agreement was signed with a new landfill in Santa Luzia to transport waste generated at the warehouse.
