The Civil Police of Mato Grosso do Sul are investigating a case of rape of a 5-year-old girl, in a city in the state. The child’s mother discovered the abuse after the girl played at a neighbor’s house. The case happened last Wednesday (24).
O Midiamax Newspaper will not reveal the city where the crime took place, nor names, to protect the victim, following the guidelines of the ECA (Child and Adolescent Statute).
According to information, the mother had gone to take one of her children to school, and the girl had asked to stay at the neighbor’s house and play with other children, and the mother let her, as the girl was used to going to the neighbor’s house. But when she returned to pick up her daughter, the victim complained of stomach pains.
The woman questioned the girl about the facts, but she remained quiet. However, when taking off the child’s clothes, the mother saw the panties with blood on them and took them for tests at a health unit. The neighbor denied any crime and said the girl was playing with another 10-year-old child.
According to information, a 15-year-old teenager was visiting the house. The case is under investigation.
