The idea of reproducing the plane and placing it for public viewing with Casa dos Arcos, another tourist attraction in Pedras Grandes, came from Mayor Agnaldo Filippi, who is an enthusiast for building an aerospace park there.

Replica of 14 Bis was built by city hall employees

The first piece of the project is the replica of 14 Bis, built by city hall employees themselves. The person at the forefront was Johny Bona Portão, who went to São José dos Campos, in São Paulo, to see other replicas of the pioneering device of world aviation.

It took more than two months of work to build the historical reproduction, which is 12 meters wide and eight meters long. The 14 Bis was installed next to Casa dos Arcos, on the SC-390 highway, in the town of Ilhota, close to the Center of Pedras Grandes.
