Nephew of drug dealer Marcola is arrested in Santa Catarina | Santa Catarina

Leonardo Alexander Ribeiro Herbas Camacho, nephew of drug dealer Marco Willians Herbas Camacho, known as Marcola, was arrested this Wednesday morning (24) in Itajaí, on the North Coast of Santa Catarina, appointed as head of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC).

Leonardo lived in Santa Catarina and, according to the police, managed the criminal organization’s business in Ceará, such as gambling, drug and weapons trafficking.

The operation seeks to identify the motivation for Leonardo’s actions in Itajaí, whether it was to expand the faction’s operations or whether it was a way to escape justice. He was found in a high-end rented apartment in the São João neighborhood, considered a quiet neighborhood.

The general delegate of the Civil Police of Santa Catarina, Ulisses Gabriel, also confirmed the arrest of Leonardo, who was taken to the Canhanduba Prison Complex, in Itajaí, where he will remain isolated. There is still no definition regarding his transfer.

The operation that led to the capture of Marcola’s nephew, arrested two other police officers in Ceará. The objective of Primma Migratio is to dismantle the managerial and logistical core of a criminal organization that operated illicit activities in Ceará.

According to the Federal Police, during the investigation, which lasted two years, evidence was collected that the leadership of this organization migrated part of its management structure from the State of São Paulo with the aim of implementing profitable clandestine activities in Ceará, such as the “game of animal” and drug and weapons trafficking.

According to the police, there are indications that the group had moved more than R$300 million suspiciously in recent years. Part of these resources would be used to corrupt public servants.

At the time, the then Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, stated that the transfer was motivated by the existence of an “alleged escape plan” by the head of the criminal faction.

Sentenced to 330 years for various crimes, this is Marcola’s second stint in prison, where he remained between 2019 and March 2022.
