After more than a month since the collection, copies of the book “The reverse of the skin”, by writer Jeferson Tenório, are being returned to the libraries of public schools in Mato Grosso do Sul. The return takes place after analysis carried out by the SED technical team (Department of Education).
In a note, the SED informed that, “after analysis carried out by the department’s technical team, the work is in the process of being returned to the libraries of the State Education Network’s school units, with pedagogical guidelines regarding indication of use”.
The collection of copies in the state took place on March 6th, as determined by Governor Eduardo Riedel (PSDB). At the time, excerpts from the work were considered inappropriate.
Check out an excerpt from the note released before the collection:
“The measure is due to the language used in excerpts of the aforementioned material, containing expressions considered inappropriate for the age group of the majority of students served by REE (under 18 years of age), with the use of terms and jargon that make pedagogical use unfeasible. in the school environment.”
Copies were also collected in Paraná and Goiás, but have also been returned.
At the time of the controversy, the author, Jeferson Tenório, spoke about the case and expressed concern about the impact of the measure on the quality of education offered to students.
