Entrepreneurs from Serra Santa Catarina discover opportunities to promote innovation

The Tecnova Circuit, carried out by the Santa Catarina State Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapesc), was this Tuesday, 23rd, in Lages. At the Orion Technological Park, entrepreneurs from the mountainous region were presented with the opportunity to receive funding for innovation in products, goods, services and processes, through the Tecnova 3 Program. In this edition, the program will grant more than R$30 million to projects selected through notice 11/2024.

The Tecnova 3 Program is developed through a partnership between the State Government and the Studies and Projects Financier (Finep). In Santa Catarina, Fapesc is responsible for implementing the program. The notice is open until May 27th, and projects that have revenues from zero to R$16 million in 2023 can participate.

For the president of Fapesc, Fábio Wagner Pinto, the Tecnova Circuit is a tool both to publicize the program and to provide important information about the notice and answer entrepreneurs’ questions. “The Tecnova 3 Program provides an opportunity for micro, small and medium-sized companies to be trained to reach their goal faster and internationalize, if they wish. The notice will select up to 60 projects and the entrepreneur will be able to learn from the experiences of others and invest in a project that could even be a watershed for their business, as we have seen in previous editions of Tecnova”, he states.

The director of Science, Technology and Innovation at Fapesc, Valeska Tratsk, comments that one of the important characteristics of the Tecnova 3 Program is to provide the opportunity for companies at different levels of maturity to participate, which includes everything from startups at the beginning of their activities to companies already consolidated. According to her, the public who participated in the event in Lages showed great interest in submitting projects to the notice. “Today we had another very productive meeting of Circuito Tecnova, this time with the participation of businesspeople from Lages and the region, which was sensational. We observed that everyone read the notice very well and were able to resolve their doubts. Here in Serra and in other regions where we are holding meetings, we have noticed the desire that entrepreneurs have to participate in the program”.

Tecnova Circuit

This Thursday, the 25th, the Tecnova Circuit will pass through Chapecó. The meeting with entrepreneurs will take place during Finep Day, starting at 9 am, at Pollen Scientific and Technological Park.

The Tecnova Circuit started on April 5th and has already visited several municipalities in Santa Catarina, dialoguing with entrepreneurs from Luzerna, Herval D’Oeste, Joaçaba, Caçador, Videira, Joinville, Brusque, Jaraguá do Sul, Blumenau, Criciúma and Lages.

Tecnova 3 Program

In Tecnova 3, Santa Catarina, alongside Paraná, has the largest budget in Brazil for the program (each with an economic subsidy of R$30,120,000.00). The value of this edition is greater than the sum of the two previous editions in Santa Catarina.

Together, Tecnova 1 and 2 benefited 80 projects from companies based in Santa Catarina. For the third edition, the number of selected proposals also increased, reaching 60. Another novelty of the program in 2024 is that in addition to the main economic subsidy amount, each company will be able to choose to receive resources of up to R$75 thousand to invest in acceleration and up to R$27 thousand to be used in internationalization projects.

Projects submitted for the Tecnova 3 Program selection process must request amounts of at least R$477 thousand and a maximum of R$702 thousand – these amounts include acceleration and internationalization resources. The benefiting companies will provide a minimum percentage of compensation, according to their gross operating revenue in 2023.

Those interested in submitting proposals in notice 11/2024 can do so through the SIGFapesc system until May 27, 2024.
