In a meeting held this Tuesday (23/4), administrative technicians from the University of Brasília (UnB) rejected the government’s proposal and decided to continue the strike.

According to the Workers’ Union of the University of Brasília Foundation (Sintfub), professionals considered the 9% readjustment proposal for 2025 “insufficient to actually change the current reality of the category that has one of the worst salaries and career in public service public”.

University professors have not yet voted on the proposal, according to the Association of Professors of the University of Brasília (ADUnb). “We will hold our Extraordinary General Assembly tomorrow. On the agenda are information about the issue of the Administrative Technicians’ strike and the issue of students who will also meet in the morning; […] evaluation and deliberation on the proposal presented by the Government and other matters that may arise”, informed the institution’s advisors.
