Approved in the last competition to join the Military Police of Santa Catarina, they are worried about the fate that the State government will give them, after the decision of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) to determine the unification of vacancies for men and women.

In the final classification, before the court decision, a list was left with 400 men and 100 women approved. After the action, the list will be unified. As a result, 74 male candidates who had already been approved were excluded from the competition.
Despite their names appearing on the final list of the competition published by the institution, they were not invited to the next phase of submitting documentation.
“This situation is urgent, as many of these candidates are at risk of missing the deadline to enter the training course”, said one of those approved.
Similar situations they face were resolved more fairly in other states, such as Ceará, where the state government increased the number of vacancies to ensure that no candidate was disadvantaged.
Those approved in a competition are not surplus
The group of successful candidates reinforces that the 74 male soldier candidates and the female officer candidate, who was excluded from the list of approved candidates, are not surplus, but rather approved within the number of vacancies established by the notice.
The matter has been discussed within the government. Days after the STF’s decision, the State Attorney General, Márcio Vicari, met with the general commander of the Military Police of Santa Catarina, Colonel Aurélio José Pelozato da Rosa, but no definition was given.
The government is aware of this situation of candidates outside the list of approved candidates for vacancies in the notice wanting to be used, but internally, it is seen that, for now, they will not be called, unless the government decides to increase the number of candidates eligible for use.
