Securing Michelle and Eduardo in the ballot box will be another story. In addition to the question of whether they both want to change their domicile in Brasília and São Paulo, respectively, they would have to transfer their electoral domicile six months before the supplementary election to be called in the event of Seif’s withdrawal. Coinciding with the municipal vote in October is a little tight, but not impossible.
Furthermore, political parties will probably ask for this transfer to be challenged, as happened with Sergio Moro’s transfer to São Paulo, alleging a lack of ties. Prevented from running here, he ended up elected by the Senate in Paraná and is now also on trial for abuse of economic power.
