One Brazilian parachutist died after colliding with another in Florida, in the United States, last Monday (1st). The shock happened while still in the air, and Giulianno Falabella Scotti, 42 years old, couldn’t resist. The victim was from Manaus, in Amazonas, and lived in DeLand. The information is from the newspaper The globe.
DeLand Police Department officers responded to a call at Municipal Airport at 2:26 p.m. local time. Giulianno’s body was found on Lexington Avenue, within the airport area. There were attempts to save the Brazilian, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second parachutist only had minor injuries. Authorities did not disclose the altitude of the fall or whether the two skydivers jumped from the same aircraft. An autopsy will determine the exact cause of Giulianno’s death.
Professional skydiver
On social media, the Brazilian presented himself as a professional skydiver, paramotor pilot, jiu-jitsu black belt and mountain biker and base jumper.
The family of the Amazonian also used the networks to comment on the loss. “Falabella family in mourning”, wrote a cousin of Giulianno: “May your light continue to shine alongside God the Father! Around here, YOU leave the mark that we must live with enthusiasm and great joy!”.
