Agesul-MS orders Patrola contractor to restart work on MS-214 in Pantanal

Agesul-MS (State Agency for Enterprise Management of Mato Grosso do Sul) issued an order to restart services on MS-214, owned by contractor Andre Luiz dos Santos, Patrola. The order was published this Wednesday (3) in the Official State Gazette.

According to the publication, the contractor has authorization to restart works since March 18, 2024, to implement a highway with primary coating, covering a length of 45.3 kilometers.

They sign by order Mauro Azambuja Rondon Flores and by proxy Juliana Peres Villalba.

Works in the Pantanal

Only this year, Agesul (State Enterprise Management Agency) hired, by invitation, the company Ecogeo Engenharia Ltda to carry out environmental studies of 122 kilometers of the MS-214 highway, in works that have been in existence since 2021.

In an internal statement, the Agency admitted to having released the contractors on the highway without the study. Sections of construction of MS-214 are among the works of André Luiz dos Santos, known as Patrola, halted in May by the State Government following a determination by the TCE-MS (Court of Auditors of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul).

At the end of June, the 2nd Public Prosecutor’s Office of Corumbá registered a report to investigate the rampant deforestation on a farm in the Pantanal, owned by André Luiz dos Santos, known as Patrola. All deforestation investigations against the contractor, suspected of being a politician, have already been archived by the agency.

R$4.8 billion in works

Agesul is the department that started 2024 with the highest value of contracts signed in the Government of Mato Grosso do Sul. In total, the value exceeds R$ 4.8 billion, while the second entity with the highest value is the Special Health Fund , with four times less, R$1.09 billion.

In total, Agesul has 338 contracts signed, none closed, all in force in 2024, with a total value of R$4,824,269,877.36. The data is on the Transparency Portal, available to the population.
