Ypiranga 2 x 1 Athletico: Result, goals and record

-

In yet another bad performance, the Athletico lost 2-1 to Ypiranga at Estádio Colosso da Lagoa, in Erechim, in the first leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. Furacão even opened the scoring with Canobbio in the first half, but suffered a comeback with Matheus Anderson and Fabrício in stoppage time of the final stage.

Furacão again didn’t play a good game. The team even started pressing and missed an incredible move in the first minutes. But he saw the home team balance the match and scare Bento.

In a truncated game, individuality appeared. In the 34th minute, in a quality play, Zapelli found a perfect pass for Canobbio to finish firmly from inside the area, 0-1.

In the second half, Ypiranga tightened its attack. Gedeílson and Zé Vitor finished on top. Then, face to face with Bento and free, Matheus Anderson tried with a dig, but sent it over the goal.

The Rio Grande do Sul team found the net, but in an offside position. In the final stretch, Gamarra saved the home team’s goal with an incredible move over the line. The play was reviewed by VAR.

After insisting so much, Ypiranga reached the turning point in stoppage time. Matheus Anderson and Fabrício did it for the home team. The final stage demonstrated, once again, the fragility of Cuca’s team. Furacão now needs a victory by two goals or more at home to advance directly.
