5th National Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation highlights the contribution of Women in Science in Mato Grosso

At the UNINTER International University Center, in Lucas do Rio Verde, Mato Grosso, the 5th National Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation is about to take place. Under the direction of Andromeda Surak Doge, the conference will be a tribute to the influence of women in science, while tirelessly advocating for diversity and gender equality.

The Free Conference has the theme “Defend Science as a Woman”, it will take place on 04/12 at 7pm, at the Centro Universitário Internacional UNINTER – Galeria Sinai – Av. Mato Grosso, 1197 E – Cidade Nova, in Lucas do Rio Verde – MT, and has the support of Sociedade Literária, Grupo Educación, CGEE: Center for Management and Strategic Studies, the MINISTRY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION and the Federal Government.

The objective is to issue a call to action to transcend barriers and perspectives, highlighting the critical importance of diversity in all areas of scientific research and innovation.

One of the prominent figures at this event is Leni Zilioto, president of the Mato Grosso Coordination of the Association of Journalists and Writers of Brazil, (AJEB-MT), whose impressive academic background and experience in the areas of Science, Biology, Pedagogy and Environmental Education consolidate her as a respected voice advocating gender equality and recognizing women’s contributions to science.

Under the motto “Defend Science Like a Woman”, the conference not only invites reflection, but action, urging all participants to recognize and value the fundamental role of women throughout scientific history. From forgotten pioneers to contemporary leaders, each of these voices has shaped and continues to shape the course of science and technology.
