The 306 Elementary Education Center, in Asa Norte, was the stage this Wednesday (3) for an important action to raise awareness among parents, guardians and the entire school community about the importance of childhood vaccination. The National Movement for Vaccination in the School Community, coordinated by the Ministry of Health with the support of the DF Health Department (SES-DF), reinforces the need to update the records of children and adolescents under 15 years of age with immunizations offered in childhood multivaccination.

“We started with this energy, in this beautiful environment that brings us good memories, in my case, there in Caruaru (PE). Our team works around the clock vaccinating the population. Today, we go to schools, fairs, shopping malls, the zoo. We are at a time where we can no longer wait in the vaccine room, we have to go where the population is. And we are proud of the numbers we can present”, said DF Health Secretary, Lucilene Florêncio.

At this stage of the movement, the CEF of 306 Norte was the first unit to receive the initiative. The school serves 440 students from 1st to 7th years. Student Cecília Sousa Paiva, 6th year, 11 years old, has her vaccination card up to date. The student says that the whole family is worried about this attitude. “When I was little, I cried to get vaccinated because I was scared. Today, I cry to get vaccinated,” said the student.

The Minister of Health, Nisia Trindade, also took the opportunity to get vaccinated against the flu. “It is time to rebuild trust in science, in health, because the vaccine saves our lives”, commented the minister.
