The celebrations aim to strengthen the historical and cultural identity of the people of Mato Grosso
Mato Grosso Week in Nova Mutum will be celebrated this Thursday, May 2nd, with a special program, marking the 276th anniversary of our beloved State. The opening will be near Lago do Semeador, close to the Lauro Immich Sports Gym, with the traditional “Tchá com Bolo” at 7am.
On May 3rd, there will be cultural presentations, a food court and a show with the band Scort Som promising to entertain the people of Mato Grosso who attend the Ginásio Lauro Immich.
The traditional Mato Grosso Week, prepared by the City Hall through the Department of Sport, Leisure and Culture (SMELC), opens the State’s anniversary festivities, which is celebrated on May 9th.
Mato Grosso Week is an opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity of our State. Culture coordinator, Marcelo Bragatti, expressed his excitement: “This event was designed to deeply restore our culture of value. With lots of music, dancing and typical foods, we invite everyone to participate in this unique celebration.”
