Google opens applications for technology internship program in Brazil

Google opened on Monday (1st) the registration for the new edition of the Software Engineering Internship Program (SWE), which offers vacancies in the cities of São Paulo (SP) and Belo Horizonte (MG). The selection is intended to people studying a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Held for more than 10 years, SWE aims to support and encourage students at their different levels of training, enabling them to develop a career in the tech area. Selected candidates will Intern at Google for three months, working 30 hours per week in a hybrid format.

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to act in the development of computer science solutions, distributed and scalable software systems and collaborate on different projects with universal appeal. As Google highlights, the work involves a lot of research, interactivity and questions.

Applying knowledge to real-world problems, analyzing information and evaluating results to define the best solution are also among the responsibilities. Interns will also have to develop scripts for automating routine taskss, create and support an innovative team in partnership with colleagues, managers and teams.

How to apply for internship at Google?

In addition to being enrolled in Computer Science or a related field, people interested in applying for jobs at Google must expect to graduate in December 2024 or August 2025. The company also requires programming experience in one or more of these languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript or Python.

Applications for the Google technology internship program can be made until April 15th on the SWE website. The selection process is 100% online, including practical assessment of coding skills and basic computer science concepts, and there are exclusive channels for people with disabilities and people of color to apply.

You can choose between start the internship in August this year, if training is scheduled for December 2024, or in February 2025, if the course is completed in the middle of next year.

As the work model is hybrid, it is also necessary to be available to intern at the Google office in Belo Horizonte or São Paulo.
