The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro arrested a man suspected of killing a driver during a traffic fight, in Rio de Janeiro, in 2019.
The man was carrying a revolver when he was located by agents from the DHBF (Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police Station) in Paracambi, in Baixada Fluminense.
The suspect was arrested for illegal possession of a weapon. There was already a preventive arrest warrant against him (without a defined period).
The crime took place in October 2019. According to investigations, the suspect had his car parked on Rua Esperança, in Japeri, and was obstructing the passage of other vehicles.
The victim, identified as Jorge Henrique Teixeira, lived nearby and complained about the situation.
After an argument, the man took out his gun and shot Jorge, who died instantly. The shooter then fled the scene.
According to the police, the suspect had other criminal records. The man has already been accused of another homicide and was arrested in 2014.
He will be charged with the crime of qualified homicide.
