Three men suspected of carrying out a series of robberies were killed by the Military Police (PM), during a chase in the early hours of this Tuesday (2), in Contagem, Greater BH.
According to the PM, they stole a car and, because of an anti-theft mechanism, the vehicle stopped working, the suspects abandoned it and took another car, used to steal cell phones.
During information gathering about men, the military discovered that one of them was wearing an electronic ankle bracelet, which made tracking easier.
After locating them, the police ordered them to stop, but the men fled. Around 10pm, a chase began.
According to the incident report, Upon seeing that the suspects were armed, the military fired to protect themselves and contain the men on Avenida João César de Oliveira.
The three suspects were hit and taken to the Contagem Municipal Hospital, but they died after arriving at the unit, around 12:20 am.
The bodies were taken by the hearse to the Legal Medical Institute, in Belo Horizonte.
