The morning was rainy in Salvador, this Tuesday (2). In six hours, some neighborhoods accumulated more than 100mm of rain.

According to Civil Defense, the neighborhoods where it rained the most were Ondina (102.4 mm), Federation (100.2 mm), Campinas de Brotas (85.8 mm), Pituba (83.6 mm) and Brotas (79 mm) .

The agency issued a warning of continued moderate to heavy rain over the next few hours. The estimate is that it may rain between 10 and 40 mm/h. There are risks of flooding and landslides.

The rains are caused by the formation of a Mesoscale Convective Complex (MCC). This system can cause heavy rain, thunderstorms, gusts of wind and even hail.

Some neighborhoods in Salvador recorded flooding, such as Vale das Pedrinhas and Armação.
