In March, Rio do Campo hosted the municipal stage of the Santa Catarina School Games (JESC), a highly relevant sporting event that brought together students aged 12 to 14 and aged 15 to 17 in a competition that values ​​the spirit sport, teamwork and dedication of the participants. The city’s schools mobilized to represent with honor and determination in various modalities.

Table Tennis: Exciting disputes and featured talent

One of the sports that aroused great interest was Table Tennis, where young talents demonstrated surprising skills and strategies. In the male matches (12 to 14 years old), Enzo Joaquim Baldo, from EEB Dr. Fernando Ferreira de Mello, won first place, followed by Samuel and Arthur Marian, both representing EEB Maestro Heitor Villa Lobos. Among female competitors in the same age group, Edimara, from EEB Maestro Heitor Villa Lobos, became champion, followed by Alice and Manuela, both from the same institution.

In the male category (15 to 17 years old), Luiz Emanoel, from EEB Dr. Fernando Ferreira de Mello, reached the top of the podium, followed by Daniel and Gabriel, representatives from EEB Maestro Heitor Villa Lobos. In the women’s category, Ráculo, from EEB Maestro Heitor Villa Lobos, won first place, while Laila, from EEB Dr. Fernando Ferreira de Mello, took second place.

Futsal: Grit and determination on the court

Futsal also brought excitement to the courts, with fierce matches and demonstrations of skill and teamwork. In the male category (12 to 14 years old), EEB Dr. Fernando Ferreira de Mello won first place, followed by EMEB Santa Maria and EEB Maestro Heitor Villa Lobos. Meanwhile, in the women’s category, EEB Waldomiro Colautt became champion, followed by EMEB Santa Maria and EEB Dr. Fernando Ferreira de Mello.

Chess: Strategy and concentration on each move

In chess, concentration was the key to success. Jean, from EEB Maestro Heitor Villa Lobos, dominated the male category (12 to 14 years old), followed by Rafael and Antoni, also representing the same school. In the women’s category, Ariane, from EEB Waldomiro Colautt, won first place, with Maria Luiza, from EEB Dr. Fernando Ferreira de Mello, and Eloa Haveroth, from EEB Maestro Heitor Villa Lobos, completing the podium.

In the male category (15 to 17 years old), Gabriel Morat, from EEB Dr. Fernando Ferreira de Mello, reached the top of the podium, followed by Jean, from the same institution, and Matheus, from EEB Maestro Heitor Villa Lobos. Meanwhile, in the women’s category, Eloiza, Grazi, both from EEB Dr. Fernando Ferreira de Mello, stood out in the top positions.

The Municipal Administration and the Sports Department congratulate all participating students for the efforts, dedication and sportsmanship demonstrated during the Rio do Campo School Games. The event not only promotes sports, but also strengthens community ties and the integral development of students.
