The two fugitives from the Mossoró Penitentiary managed to impose an unprecedented failure on ‘Ricardo Lawandowski’s police’, including the Tactical Operations Command (COT) of the Federal Police.
The COT also decided to end the searches for Querubim and Tatu – Deibson Nascimento and Rogério Mendonça – and left Rio Grande do Norte last Saturday (30).
The team that participated in the searches included police officers with specific training to work in the Caatinga, a biome in the region.
Eighteen COT men had been in Mossoró since February 16, two days after the escape of Comando Vermelho (CV) members.
None of this was enough.
The National Force also stopped searching in Mossoró. In daily payments alone, the Ministry of Justice paid R$1.3 million to National Force agents for the period of the searches.
There was no command.
