Partnership between the State and the City of Cruzeiro do Sul will guarantee a Labor Day party

Once again, the union between the government of Acre and the City of Cruzeiro do Sul will offer a remarkable moment to the almost one hundred thousand inhabitants of the municipality and residents of neighboring regions. The festival in celebration of Labor Day, celebrated on May 1st, will take place next Tuesday, the 30th, and will bring the Juruá Valley to life with lots of entertainment, security and a first-world structure.

The mega-event, which also has a partner with the local Commercial Business Association (Acecs), will be held at Praça Orleir Cameli, central region of the second largest and most populous city in Acre.

“Throughout the administration, I always seek the partnership of Governor Gladson Cameli’s administration, and many are the fruits of these joint efforts, such as the celebration of Labor Day, which is so important for the heating and growth of the country’s economy . May families come and have a lot of fun”, says Zequinha Lima.

The numbers better represent the size of the event, which promises to be the largest in honor of Labor Day in the history of Cruzeiro do Sul. On the almost 140 m² stage, which will house 11 tons of equipment, there will be performances by seven artists from the region, including singers, dance group and band. The big attraction of the night brings the national show by Nadson o Ferinha, an arrocha style artist.

Released on Thursday, the 18th, the program generated approval on social media and became one of the most talked about topics on the streets of Cruzeiro do Sul. Furthermore, the cultural agenda attracted the interest of residents across the state and municipalities in Amazonas that are in the border region. The organization estimates that around 20 thousand people are expected to occupy the Gamelão facilities at Praça Orleir Cameli.

“As I always defend, only with unity, in this case between the State and the City of Cruzeiro do Sul, can we achieve important advances for our people. And it was thinking about the class that helps us develop Acre, our dear workers, that we are together to offer them a beautiful tribute, which will be marked by zeal, organization and, mainly, by the expression of joy of those who are at Praça Orleir Cameli, whose name refers to my dear uncle. I greet the people of my homeland and wish everyone an unforgettable Labor Day event”, said Governor Gladson Cameli.

Special security scheme

The union of efforts between the state and municipal executive powers planned a party without major complications for the workers. A large security scheme, made up of agents from the State police forces and private security guards, hired by the city hall, will occupy strategic points in the center of Cruzeiro do Sul, as well as streets and avenues surrounding the event.

The organizers recommend that the population avoid traveling to the event carrying objects that pose a danger to physical integrity, such as bottles and bladed weapons, among others. Street vendors are also asked to sell products in containers made from disposable materials.

“We will not prevent people from going to the square with its glaciers, but they will avoid carrying objects that could be used as a weapon”, explains the commander of the 6th Military Police Battalion (6th BPM), lieutenant colonel Edvan Rogério. “We will use enough staff to meet demand, so that Labor Day is marked by people’s joy”, he emphasizes.

Next Monday, the 29th, a meeting will define traffic organization strategies before, during and after the event.
