Drivers faced more than nine kilometers of congestion on the BR-040, near the Jardim Canada neighborhood, in Nova Lima, in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, this Monday morning (1st).
Three people were injured in the accident involving a trailer and a bus near km 554, after the Minas Gerais Federal Highway Police (PRF-MG) post. The collective left Rio de Janeiro at 10:20 pm and headed towards the capital of Minas Gerais. Among the victims is the bus driver.
As a result of the collision, the front part of the vehicle was destroyed and the trailer left the road. Two ambulances from Via 040, the concessionaire that manages the stretch, went to the scene.
Early in the morning, only the left lane was open.
In the direction of Rio de Janeiro, two cars crashed on the same stretch. However, at around 7:30 a.m., there were no retention records.
