The Secretariat of Education of Espírito Santo (Sedu-ES) is preparing to launch a new public competition with approximately 800 vacancies for effective teachers. The starting salary can reach R$ 5,400.00according to the title of the person approved.
The information comes from governor Renato Casagrande (PSB), who also said that the competition will replace temporary professionals at SEDU with permanent teachers, to strengthen the permanent teaching staff in state education.
The notice could be published in April by the Government of the State of Espírito Santo, with registrations opening soon afterwards, said the governor. The panel that will make the selection has not yet been informed.
SEDU-ES Notice
The competition is foreseen in the Annual Budget Bill (PLOA) of 2024, approved by the Legislative Assembly since September 2023.
The Department of Education confirmed that the competition notice is at an advanced stage and informed that news will soon appear on the institution’s website.
In 2024, SEDU/ES has already opened several selection processes for new temporary contracts, while the competition is still pending.
Last contest took place in 2022
The last public competition held by Sedu, in 2022, offered 1,500 vacancies for educational support agent and teacher positions, with salaries ranging from R$2,700 to R$4,975.
This competition was approved on June 29, 2022 and was valid for 1 year, that is, it has already expired.
The selection had an objective test and a discursive test (case study for Teacher positions and writing for Educational Support Agent). In addition, there was an evaluation of titles, of a classificatory nature, exclusively for Professors.
The tests were administered in several municipalities, including Vitória, Afonso Cláudio, Barra de São Francisco, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Colatina, Cariacica, Guaçuí, Linhares, Nova Venécia, São Mateus, Serra and Vila Velha.
