16-year-old twin brothers were found dead with gunshot wounds, on Wednesday (27), in a river in the city of Paudalho, in the Zona da Mata Norte of Pernambuco. The bodies of the two victims were found by their father, who called the police.
The names of the two brothers were not released by the Civil Police. The bodies of the teenagers were found on the beach of the Goitá River dam.
According to the Civil Police, the bodies were removed from the water by the Criminalistics Institute (IC) and were sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for an autopsy.
The case was registered at the Goiana Sectional Police Station, a municipality also located in the Zona da Mata Norte of the state. “Investigations have begun and will continue until the case is fully clarified,” declared the Civil Police.
Sought by g1, the Military Police reported that a team from the 2nd Battalion was called to verify the incident. Arriving at the scene, the agents isolated the area until professionals from the Criminalistics Institute arrived.
