The services sector was the one that generated the most jobs in the State; in Brazil, Caged data recorded 1.4 million opportunities

Espírito Santo created 4,754 jobs in the month of February, according to the General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (Caged), released on Wednesday (27) by the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The number is the result of 45,858 admissions and 41,104 dismissals, which resulted in a positive variation of 0.54%.
February’s result is higher than January’s, when the balance was 3,270 in Espírito Santo. In Brazil, the balance was 306,111 jobs, with 2,249,070 admissions and 1,942,959 dismissals.
The services sector had the largest balance among economic activities, with 4,348 jobs. The construction had 599 spaces; industry, 282; and agriculture, 158. The commerce sector had a negative balance of 633 vacancies. The number of jobs in the State is 882,352.
Caged data also shows that the level of education of most employees is complete secondary education (2,714). The majority of vacancies created in February were filled by women (2,805). Men occupied 1,947 new positions. And the age group with the highest employment balance was 18 to 24 years old (1,590 vacancies). The average salary in Espírito Santo in February was R$1,905.91.
