A fire hit a car store, in Joinville, in the North of Santa Catarina, in the early hours of this Thursday (28). Security camera footage shows a hooded man entering the premises minutes before the fire started.

The Joinville Volunteer Firefighters were called at around 3:20 am to provide assistance to the store located on Rua Santa Catarina, in the south of the city.
Around 60 cars and the entire structure of the store were completely destroyed. The million-dollar loss left the owner of the car dealership, Josias Corrêa, quite emotional.

The fire allegedly started criminally. “It doesn’t make sense for a person to enter a store with a gas tank and set the entire store on fire. There is no explanation, this is criminal”, reported Josias.
In security camera videos, it is possible to see a hooded man entering the place. The man managed to avoid showing his face in all the images.

The store owner reported that there was no problem that could justify arson. “Ten years in the store and I’ve never had a disagreement. I never had a case in court. Ten years of working with integrity”, reported Josias.
The causes of the fire continue to be investigated.
