Belo Horizonte: research has a triple tie

The survey presented by the institute Paraná Research on the morning of this Thursday, 28th, shows a triple tie in the dispute for Belo Horizonte City Hall. João Leite (PSDB), Carlos Viana (Podemos) and Bruno Engler (PL) are the pre-candidates who share the leadership.

In the first scenario of the stimulated research, when a list of possible candidates is presented to the interviewees, the toucan, who is a state deputy in Minas Gerais, numerically surpasses his two opponents. Leite has 16.6%, against 16.2% for the Podemos senator and 14.9% for the state deputy for PL.

The three are technically tied for leadership in the fight for command of the Executive Branch of the capital of Minas Gerais. This is because the survey’s margin of error is plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.

Scenario one still has six other pre-candidates for Mayor of Belo Horizonte, but none of them broke the 10% voting intention barrier.

In the second scenario, there is again a technical draw. However, just between Leite and Engler — Viana does not appear on this list. The PSDB representative has 22.6%, while the PL member has 16.7%. Federal deputy for the PDT of Minas GeraisDuda Salabert has 11% of voting intentions in this configuration, which has three other names, which appear below 10%.

Released this Thursday, the survey of voting intentions for Belo Horizonte City Hall carried out by the team from the Paraná Pesquisas institute was registered in the Superior Electoral Court with number MG-08204/2024. Interviews were carried out with 900 potential voters in the capital of Minas Gerais, from March 22nd to 27th. The margin of error is 3.3 percentage points. The confidence level is 95%
