With a lecture by the Secretary of State for Development, Technology and Innovation (Semadesc), Jaime Verruck, the master class of the Developer Voucher program was held on Tuesday night (26), which qualifies, free of charge, more than 300 young people and adults in the Systems Development Technician course. The class was held at the Senac Hub Academy, in Campo Grande, and also included online participation from students from the cities of Corumbá, Dourados, Ponta Porã and Três Lagoas.

The initiative is a partnership between the State government, through Semadesc and SED, with Senac MS and is part of MS Qualifica (Professional Qualification Plan for Inclusion, Productivity and Employment in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul). With a course load of 1,200 hours, students will learn to develop systems for free for 16 months, in the State’s Senac schools.

Semadesc secretary, Jaime Verruck, spoke about the economy and prospects of Mato Grosso do Sul and how the Voucher Developer program connects to them. “In 2023 alone, the State attracted R$17 billion in prospected private investments, and technology is essential for us to continue growing. Today, nothing can be done without technology and we need trained professionals who can meet our demands. There are many job vacancies in the IT area that are not filled and we need this prepared workforce”, he states.

The Systems Development Technician professional is responsible for developing web, mobile and desktop systems, and in this context performs requirements analysis, develops, tests and publishes applications. “Mato Grosso do Sul has a lot of room to grow and will present many opportunities in the area of information technology. Those who dedicate themselves, study, will have great opportunities and develop a very successful career. Senac has prepared the best for you, so take advantage this opportunity”, said the director of Senac MS, Vitor Mello, to the course students.

After six months of the course, a partnership with technology companies in the State will allow paid internships with 50 scholarships offered by the State government and Senac, worth R$1,000. “The 50 best students on the course will be selected, who will be entitled to these vacancies, already guaranteeing a job opportunity in the area. And we will most likely increase this number, as many companies have already shown interest in hiring these professionals”, explains Vitor Mello.
