Two die charred in collision between trailer and truck in Mato Grosso

Alex Caetano da Silva, aged 27, and Alexandre Carvalho Schmidt, 43, died in a serious accident involving a grain trailer and a munck truck, yesterday, on the MT-430, around 70 kilometers from Confresa (1058 kilometers from Cuiabá). With the violent impact, the vehicles caught fire. A 28-year-old man, the driver of the truck, was injured and taken to hospital.

According to the incident report, a Military Police team was returning from the district of Santo Antonio do Fontoura, when they found two vehicles on fire and a person asking for help. The police officers looked for the victim and entered the forest, at which point they found the 28-year-old man, unable to move and showing injuries and bleeding.

They immediately removed him from the area, considering that the fire was intense and spreading quickly through the forest. Also according to the PM, passers-by who passed by the scene arrived with a medical stretcher, which helped in removing the victim who was taken in a private vehicle part of the way to the hospital, where he was passed on to the Mobile Emergency Care Service team. Emergency (Samu).

The Fire Department went to the scene and found the two fatal victims burned. Civil Police and Official Expertise and Technical Identification (Politec) were called to analyze the accident, and subsequently release the bodies to the Legal Medical Institute (IML).

The vehicles were left across the road with the cabin already outside the highway, destroyed by the flames. Firefighters fully combatted the flames and the aftermath.

As Só Notícias already reported, yesterday, a driver died after a collision between three vehicles on the MT-020 in Canarana (643 kilometers from Cuiabá).
