During delivery of sections connecting state highways in Costa Rica, new road is confirmed
Governor Eduardo Riedel (PSDB) delivered safer and more accessible roads in Costa Rica, this Saturday (27). In addition to the 57 km of the MS-316 highway, in the stretch between Costa Rica and Paraíso das Águas, the governor also visited the construction of the MS-223, which connects the municipality to the junction with the MS-306 Highway, at the interchange known as Monarca .
On that occasion, he was asked by the population about the future of MS-135, the only unpaved state highway. MS-135 connects Costa Rica to Alcinópolis and BR-359.
“In the coming months we will hire a company to carry out the project and complete it in 2025. We will invest R$2.5 billion per year in the roads of Mato Grosso do Sul”, he highlighted.
Mayor Delegate Cleverson (PP) highlighted that the MS-223 highway was a dream for the population and has now become a reality. “There was more than R$180 million in investment by the State government in Costa Rica, in 2024 alone. I want to thank the governor immensely, and I want to ask you, once again, that MS-135 is extremely important. The rural producer only wants one thing, a road to transport the production. Agribusiness is what has held this country’s economy back.”
