And speaking of agility, the Compass 2025 Hurricane takes just 6.3 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h. The 2.0 turbo with 272 hp and 40.8 kgfm is the flavor the line was missing. With the 1.3 turbo (185 hp) and the 2.0 turbodiesel (170 hp), the SUV is not slow. However, it also doesn’t bring exciting performance.

The 2.0 Hurricane changes this story, and could bring Jeep customers who look for Chinese cars not in search of low consumption or reduced emissions, but rather agility. To account for this performance, changes were made to the suspension, brakes and tires. In addition to 4×4 traction, these new versions feature a nine-speed automatic transmission.

But the entire line was renewed, to gain competitiveness against the varied competition – which includes Corolla Cross, Taos, ZR-V and Territory, among others. Jeep updated things like the front grille (exclusive, and more open, on the Hurricane) and wheels. In addition, he gave the car extra equipment.

All Compass now come from the factory with a Beats sound system. There are more versions with a panoramic roof and, in the Blackhawk, the front passenger now also has electric seats. The most important thing, however, was the reduction in prices. The average SUV is up to R$20,000 cheaper (see below).
