-

What, for many, may be considered an “adult matter”, for two teenagers became the necessary stimulus in the search for social transformation. In Camboriú, boys aged just 16 and 17 decided to use the experience they had at home to help other young people manage their own money, showing that financial education is far from being a “big deal”.

With plenty of boldness and desire to make a difference, they created their own company around four years ago and, in a short time, they already carry on their shoulders the responsibility of managing R$100,000 in investments. All of this using a basic but essential tool for raising human awareness: dialogue.

When they met by chance, on a free guitar course, Akilles Rampanelli Cecilio and Arthur Félix didn’t even imagine what the future held for them. Until that moment, what united the two teenagers was their common interests in games and other activities.

In mid-2020, however, when Akilles was 13 years old and Arthur was 14, the young people discovered that, amid the difficulties brought about by the pandemic, they could do something for those whose income was impacted by Covid-19.

The idea came from Arthur who, at the time, was trying to find a solution to help his mother at home. The young man’s thoughts, who came from a lower middle class family in Florianópolis, immediately met those of Akilles, who also lived in a peripheral neighborhood when he still lived in Porto Alegre (RS), where he was born.

Thus, inspired by the book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” — a work that addresses the topic of financial independence — the two decided to embark on this challenging universe for both their ages. And that’s how 2A Invest was born.

Even bigger dreams for 2024

Founders of the company that took its name from their initials, the young visionaries agreed that the objective of the business would be to enable the next generation of Brazilians to manage finances consciously, breaking taboos and encouraging dialogue about money within families.

Currently, more than 300 students have already been impacted by the boys’ idea. For 2024, they dream even bigger and intend to triple this reach. This is because their work must go from two to six public and private schools in the Balneário Camboriú region, expanding their area of activity.

Based on this partnership with the company, the institutions are able to incorporate the Finance Wheel project into classes, where the duo uses the space to give lectures that encourage the identification of skills and, consequently, the search for entrepreneurship as a way of generating income.

All this with the involvement and awareness of parents, according to young people.

— Our company was founded on values of commitment, proactivity, integrity and a constant search for knowledge. 2A Invest not only teaches about finance, but also instills the principles of responsibility, respect and transparency in its students — explains Akilles.

Today, 2A Invest manages more than R$100,000 in investments from parents and students at the schools they attend. The difference between the company they created, according to them, is the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple way, as they address the educational impact on finances in schools, provide online mentoring for parents and children and even organize financial management consultancies. .

Despite their young age, the two believe that, in the long term, they can change the reality of other young people in Brazil, as this group currently represents more than 20% of the indebted population, according to the Credit Protection Service (SPC).

Podcast episode reached 57 thousand views

Recently Arthur and Akilles were interviewed by Joel Jota, a digital influencer in the area of business and personal development who has more than 10 million followers on social media. The episode of podcast It aired on March 5th on YouTube and was titled “Meninos Dão Aula de Empreendedorismo e Joel Jota Com Lições de Vida”. Since then, the video has had 57,000 views.

The boys say that the invitation to participate in the podcast came in front of an audience of more than 500 viewers and caught the duo by surprise — however, not at all unprepared. The young people participated in a course that included recording the influencer’s podcast and, in the middle of the event, Arthur stood out for a question asked to one of the speakers.
