The Secretariat of Social Defense (SDS-PE) of Pernambuco defined, this Wednesday (27), the security scheme for the two games of the final of the 2024 Pernambucano Championship, played by Sport Club do Recife and Clube Náutico Capibaribe. The first match will take place next Saturday (30), at the Aflitos stadium, in the North Zone of Recife. The duel will be with only fans, a decision established by the Pernambuco Football Federation (FPF).
According to Colonel Mário Canel, Deputy Director of Operational Planning at the Pernambuco Military Police, 726 military police officers will be employed during the operation.
The scheme will rely on integrated action by security forces, who will be on the streets of the Recife Metropolitan Region, both inside and outside the stadiums, as well as in the subway and integrated terminals.
Another measure announced was the use of facial recognition cameras, as highlighted by Colonel Alexandre Tavares, coordinator of the Football Working Group (GT Futebol).
Furthermore, the entry of props or images that allude to the organized fans of the teams involved will be prohibited. The scheme will involve the participation of personnel from the Military Police, Civil Police and Military Fire Department.
