Minister of Mines and Energy arrives in Acre in April for action under the Luz Para Todos Program

The Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, will be in Acre on April 5th and 6th, according to a statement from Senator Sérgio Petecão, who invited the minister. During his stay, Alexandre Silveira will visit the municipalities of Cruzeiro do Sul, Feijó and Marechal Thaumaturgo, where he will learn about the Energisa project, which implements clean and renewable energy, in Vila Restauração, on the Upper Tagus River.

One of the objectives is to announce several actions of the Federal Government’s Luz Para Todos Program, in addition to inaugurating works in the region’s electricity sector, which aim to provide public access to electricity, especially in areas such as indigenous lands, rural settlements and riverside communities. .

Ministerial visit

In 2024, this is the third ministerial visit of the Lula Government. At the beginning of March, the ministers of Regional Integration and Development, Waldez Góes, and Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, came to Acre to visit two cities affected by the flood of the Acre River, Brasiléia and Rio Branco, the capital of Acre.

In 2023, the first ministerial visit was double, in March, during the floods that hit Acre. Immediately, ministers Waldez Goes, of Regional Development, and Marina Silva, of Environment, arrived in Acre.

Less than two months later it was the turn of the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, to fulfill his agenda in Acre. The minister landed in Brasiléia, on the border with Bolivia.

In June, it was the turn of Marcio Macedo, minister of the Presidency Secretariat, and Waldez Goes, who returned to the state for the second time as minister, participated in the State Plenary of the Participatory PPA 2024/2027.

In August, the Minister of Indigenous Peoples, Sônia Guajajara arrived in Acre to participate in the Mariri Festival ceremony, which provides an immersion in the culture, art and spirituality of the Yawanawá people, known for shamanism, which involve healing ceremonies through the consumption of ayahuasca.

In October, it was the turn of the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, to visit Acre and make important announcements. At the inauguration of the Ifac rectory building in Rio Branco.

November was marked by receiving ministers Marina Silva and Sônia Guajajara once again in Acre. The two disembark in Mâncio Lima, to launch a project on the Puyanawa Indigenous Land with resources from BNDES, coming from the Amazon Fund, in partnership with the Organization of Indigenous Peoples of the Juruá River (Opirj).
