State evaluates areas for construction of new regional hospital in Mato Grosso

The state secretary of Health of Mato Grosso, Gilberto Figueiredo, was in Pontes e Lacerda (444 kilometers from Cuiabá), today, to analyze the sites made available by the city hall for the construction of a Regional Hospital. Making the area viable for the construction of the unit will be the responsibility of the city hall. “We know that the city hall has to donate the land and we are ready to do so, within what we can”, declared the secretary. The technical opinion of the secretariat, with a detailed analysis of the areas presented, is expected to be completed within 30 days. After choosing the location, the preparation of the project for the work will begin.

“We analyzed the location of these seven areas, the infrastructure that already exists, and our team will produce a technical opinion to forward to Governor Mauro Mendes. The final decision will be made official by our governor, but we can say with conviction that we have very good areas and that the construction of another new Regional Hospital in Mato Grosso is certain”, said the secretary.

The Deputy Secretary of Infrastructure and Information Technology at the State Department of Health, Mayara Galvão, emphasized that the technical teams will study all the characteristics of the locations and point out the most suitable areas for construction. “The new Regional Hospital needs a minimum construction area of ​​18 thousand square meters. Precisely due to the specificities of a hospital project, an in-depth study of the locations presented is necessary, considering the reference and needs of the unit that will be built”, she assessed.
