According to the Civil Police, the action took place simultaneously in 229 municipalities in Paraná. Over the 27 days, civil police also seized 31 firearms, 29 bladed weapons and 447 irregular ammunition. In addition, 4,610 reports of domestic and family violence were registered, 2,854 police investigations concluded and 3,154 protective measures requested from the Court.

The operation included the participation of civil police from all states and the Federal District, under the coordination of the National Public Security Secretariat (Senasp), an agency of the MJSP. Delegate Luciana Novaes gave an interview and commented on the results obtained through police actions.

We carried out a great action, in addition to the preventive action by the police in Paraná, we carried out a great action throughout the state, educational and awareness-raising, which has a large target audience. Everything to show that women should not remain silent. Silence kills! The woman has to report it. This great educational action has repercussions for us. The more women come to us at the police stations, it is because our preventive action was successful. I’m sure there’s a place she can go for help.

Luciana Novaes, delegate.

According to the delegate, the more than 3 thousand protective measures requested from the Court, which sought the effect of “I need to remove the aggressor from the home”are also a detail that deserves to be highlighted.

It was a great job that was carried out, many women were affected and asked for help to remove men from the home. This was accomplished and we also had a great line of action, in order to arrest the attackers. We carried out a massive action across the state, in all police units, we recorded 779 arrests of men, perpetrators of violence against women.

Educational actions

In addition to combating violence against women, by investigating complaints, launching police investigations, providing assistance to victims and executing arrest warrants, the operation also promoted educational activities, such as lectures, guidance and courses.
