This Tuesday (26), the 9th CPMI sent a note to clarify for the population the alleged abduction of a child aged 1 year and 5 months while the grandmother was washing clothes in the backyard, in Coruripe, in the interior of Alagoas.
According to the note, upon arriving at the scene, the child’s grandmother told the police that the child had been taken and that her suspicions fell on her ex-husband – the child’s grandfather. The police officers who responded to the incident advised them on the measures the family should take.
Until this Tuesday (26), the Police Report regarding the child’s disappearance had not yet been prepared and the Civil Police began an investigation and found that the grandmother had made a false report of a crime and that in fact the child is possession of the biological mother.
“The 9th CPMI reinforces its commitment to the truth and emphasizes that it adopted all standard measures for the alleged occurrence, regardless of whether it was false or true. The job of the police force is to answer the calls of the population. Once this case has been clarified for now, the Civil Police will be responsible for the procedures to hold the author responsible for falsely reporting a crime”, said the major.
