A thief who had stolen a truck on Monday night (25) in Carmo de Minas (MG) crashed the vehicle into a pole while trying to escape the police in Pedralva.
According to the Military Police, two pickup trucks were stolen around 10pm on Monday from a used car yard in MGC-460.
According to the police, four people entered the courtyard after making a hole in the wall and went to the office where they had access to the car keys.
They fled with a TV set, storage of security camera images and two pickup trucks.
In Pedralva, where there was a police siege, the driver of one of the trucks, a Hilux, tried to escape the police and ended up crashing into a house. After the crash, he fled and left the vehicle at the scene.
According to the police, only when the owner of the vehicle establishment called the police after noticing the theft, did the police identify the abandoned truck in Pedralva as the product of theft.
